The Metropolmarathon, known since 2007 as the largest sporting event in the city of Fürth, has been getting tens of thousands on their feet for years. Over time, the event has developed into one of the most popular running events in the Nuremberg metropolitan region. Starting in 2024, the Metropolmarathon will connect the cities of Fürth and Nuremberg with attractive running routes. At the inaugural event, the course will run from Fürth to Nuremberg, while in 2025, the race will go from Nuremberg to Fürth.
